Hi, I have a question. I have a V-1, multiple entry until 2017. I will apply for a study permit soon. Do I need to apply for a new TRV? I'm confused because I know that a TRV is needed only to enter Canada. :-/ help, please!

Hi.. Can anybody help me? A TRV is needed to enter Canada, right? I have a V-1 TRV multiple entry (valid for 5 years, until 2017). Do I have to apply for another one, with my study permit? Or is my TRV good to go? Thanks in advance.
