I just asked this same question in another thread... but, in regards to New York! My husbands passport has been there for 15 business days! How much longer do they need to process the passports?!

New York has had my husbands passport for 15 business days... how much longer are we going to have to wait?!

We got married in Ontario on July 13/08. I am from Ontario, Canada... and my husband is from Azores, Portugal however at the moment he is working and living in Bermuda so we were able to file through the US. Mississauga received our application October 30/09 and at the moment are just waiting...

thank you fibud! my husband's passport is his only form of indentification... i think that being in bermuda without it is making him a bit nervous!! hopefully it will be sent back soon!

hello! my husbands application was sent to nyc from buffalo... he recieved a letter saying that was being sent there to expedite the process... and only a month later he received his passport request!! when his application reached nyc his ecas status didn't say anything about medicals being...

i have yet another question.... does anyone know how long it takes for the consulate in new york to process the passport request? it has been there for one week... will we have to wait many more weeks before the passport is sent back?!

yeah... it was pretty nice getting a response back from ottawa saying that they would forward the medicals. however, there has been no contact from new york. no ecas update, no email, no letter. and so, i guess we just wait... eh?

i really think that you will be fine. if you are really worried about the electronics you can go and fill out the paperwork, it is free. i have travelled through the states and back into canada many times... they are usually more worried about alcohol, tobacco, and anything else you need to...
