Do i have implied status until the OWP is approved? Or I can't work until it is approved? I thought it took about 1-2 months for an OWP to be approved?

If my flight from Canada to my home country leaves 35 minutes after midnight on the day that my work visa expires, do I need to extend my stay as a visitor just for that 35 minutes?!?! Applying common law Outland Thanks!!!!!
