Hi guys, I sent OWP application 1 month after I sent the Sponsorship Application. The letter that was sent to my wife where they ask her to do medical check up, tell her that now she can apply for work permit. However we did send the Application and I don't see anything about OWP application...

Yes, just as charmainefrances said. Only once and for 3 months. The lady who helped me told me that after that 3 months.. keep all the medical receipts until she gets an OWP or any status (not implied status) and we can reimburse them. I told them she applied for PR inside Canada, nothing else.

Hi nismopinoy, When my wife's health care card expired because of her visa is also expired, we applied for temporary extension (3 months) and got approved right away. Try call 7804221400 (Edmonton) Hope that helps

How do I know if the OWP that was sent after the Application is added to the file? Can I see it from online service or call CIC? Thanks

HI soniabrowne1, I am on the same boat as well. I submitted on March 27 and still haven't heard anything while other people from the same month (or even April) are getting their AIP. My wife's Alberta health care card is also already expired.. and now she doesnt even want to go out so she won't...
