Thanks for the reply. Acc. to what I read, it does not matter where the child is born. Both India and Canada allow citizenship by descent as long one of the parent is a citizen. All I Know is the wife will not have Canadian citizenship at the time of birth (most likely PR or work visa).

That is confusing. Once you get Citizenship...are you not a Canadian in Canada? What is a Non-Canadian in Canada??

I got my test date. First week of March....Mississauga office.

I sent my application in the third week of August. Two weeks back cic had updated stating they have sent an acknowledgement letter. Yesterday they updated stating they started processing last week. Also they seem to be updating their system on thursday/friday (as opposed to the usual Tuesdays).
