How soon can I apply for PR after getting married?

The one year requirement is for common-law relationships, not marriages. As soon as you have your official marriage certificate in your possession, then you can send off your application (when you accumulate the other essentials you need as well).

    change of details/cirumstances

As far as I know (someone correct me if I'm wrong), Vegreville only processes the sponsor, then sends off the application to whichever CIC office that processes your application. Wait till you know which office it is then advise them, which you can do by mail or fax.

Filling-up the SPONSORSHIP FORM need HELP PLS!

If your divorce is in process that means you are still married, therefor no, you can't. You can't be married in Canada AND have a conjugal relationship. And as a specific requirement to meet the category of conjugal partner, you have to be living with your partner for at least a solid year...

    change of details/cirumstances

I'd suggest advising them that you are pregnant. Being pregnant with your partner can possibly be viewed as "proof" that your relationship is genuine, as it shows you two are having physical relations. It certainly can't hurt your cause by letting them know, so why not?

Questions with sponsoring my soon to be Husband

If I remember correctly, to be deemed rehabilitated, 5 years have to have passed from the complete sentence, including probation. You stated probation is over in July of 2010, then that means he won't be eligible till 5 years after that point. Again, this is if I remember correctly. Someone...

Filling-up the SPONSORSHIP FORM need HELP PLS!

Conjugal relationship is when you and your partner have lived together for at least a year but are not married. From what I hear, it's a harder avenue to take when it comes to bringing in your loved one, but that's just what I hear - no real fact to back that up. You said when your girlfriend...

    please help me

Hally... deep breaths and relax :-) Upon receiving the application your husband sent in, it will take 30-45 days before CIC reaches their decision regarding sponsoring. Only after they approve or deny the application will they contact you, and it will be by mail. The only reason why you'd get...

    Proof of Genuine Relationship

As long as you have all the required documentation (eg: divorce certificate) to substantiate your story, then it shouldn't be a problem. Just explain, in detail, the whole truth. Honesty is the best policy when it comes to these applications.

I want to bring my girlfriend here from Romania

Marrying her doesn't give her an automatic pass into entering the country. My understanding is that she'll still need her passport and a visa for her to enter the country.

DEVORCED here in Canada but Married in the PHILIPPINES(NO DEVORCE)

If you're doing a spousal application, as part of the application you'll have to show that a) you are in fact divorced in Canada, and that b) your girlfriend in the Philippines is your wife

    Financial Ability

The only reason why you'd have to meet financial requirements in a common-law relationship is if your common-law partner is bringing in "a dependent child who has a child or a close relative who is a minor and an orphan". In other words, if your common-law partner has children, and those...

    Just starting out!

I am not sure if a passport is required, but I'd HIGHLY recommend getting it regardless. It serves as a great form of ID and status in the country that the passport was issued.

    Financial Ability

You do not need to worry about any financial requirements. Shouldn't matter that you are a student, or that you only earn part-time wages. What matters to CIC is that you are not legally bankrupt, and that you are not receiving social benefits, which student loans are NOT considered.

    Being sponsored into canada.

When you say you've been "here" for 9 months, do you mean here in Canada? If so, it sounds like you are not legal in the country, as the limit for your visit is 6 months, and can only be legally extended if you apply for a visitor's extension - which it sounds like you haven't done that, hence...

    Just a general quest. plz

As a spouse applying for immigration, your wife doesn't have a financial requirement to meet. She just has to not be in legal bankruptcy, and not be in receipt of social benefits (which student loans are NOT). Therefor, she can sponsor you as a spouse.

    Please help!!

I was wondering about this myself as my wife and I married in Canada, and we're doing the outside route. She is currently in England, and don't expect the PR to be finalized till the summer or fall. That being said, we decided to move her here in May as we can't wait any longer. I was worried...

    Reasons for refusal?

It's sickening that everything that has to do with human rights, burden of proof, that Canada is supposed to be built on is completely ignored when it comes to immigration. OK, I understand there has to be some process for screening out "threats" to the country, and I appreciate that, but to...

applying for immigration under family class within Canada

If he can prove his life is at risk, the option of refugee status might be there, although it's slim to get through it, and I think it's mainly aimed at people who's life is in danger by their own government because of their views and whatnot. As Thaiguy said, if the evidence is there (showing...

    Supporting documents

I don't know how far CIC goes in terms of verifying what you send, but I asked my friends and family to include their work info, and their contact info, and as part of the package, I offered CIC to contact any of them to corraborate their letters. You can also add touches such as having family...
