So people I was charged $1100 about a week ago. I guess they found my application complete and this is the same guy who had scanned signatures!! Just wondering if any other people on this forum got charged too.

Well that way then why ask for photocopies of documents such as birth and marriage certificates. They could be easily forged too! Why not ask for all original documents? I could have easily copied my own parent's signature too and so an original signature doesn't necessarily prevents this...

If its that big a deal then why not include a little line in the guide. They have instructions for every little thing, don't they? I have applied for spouse sponsorship, student visa, work permits, visit visas, etc numerous times and none of the guides mention about having an original signature...

I see your point but easier than doing that would be just to fake your parents signature yourself! I was hoping to know for sure whether an application can be rejected due to the scanned signature.

Hello all, I understand that this might have been discussed but it really bugs me why would CIC reject an application if the signatures papers are scanned copies and not originals. Totally does not make any logic but can somebody say for sure that the application may be rejected because of this...
