Does anyone know if there is a specific day of the week Havana emails/phones to schedule the interviews? i was told that an interview would not be scheduled before Feb 2016. Our application has now been in Havana for 10 months....

Just got back from spending 3 weeks with my husband in Cuba.. returned an no date yet for our interview. i was told that it would be scheduled for Feb..Galano.did your husband get the visa?

I was under the impression that the police check takes at least 45 days? My husband is from Holguin and i have asked him to get it ASAP knowing that he will be called for an interview sometime in Feb.

MadameR..they told me that it would not be scheduled until after Feb 2016...my file landed in Havana March 11th 2015..so my 10 months is Jan..suspect interview for Feb.

madameR i was just thinking about this too, i do believe that the file has been reviewed and no further information would be required, with the excepetion of CIC asking for the sponsored spouse to bring proof of relationship to the interview to share. i was specifically told that my husband...

I was told my husband would get an interview no sooner then February 2016- our 10 months is in January 2016- also the file status changed "In process" ..so we wait. I expect that he will be notified in January with his interview date. Happy Thanksgiving All.

MadameR- only email if you have a legitimate question...not for an update. My husband's med check expired, i simply asked what my next steps should be and then i received that response back. I was totally surprised that they even gave me that update, as was my friend who is well versed with...

Some interesting news..I emailed Havana yesterday asking them about my husband's expired medical check and police check. They emailed me back saying that my husband will be scheduled for an interview ( which we were expecting)..they also said this w "the interview should be scheduled not before...

Hello Madamer- i have the same timelines as you..Havana acknowledged us on March 11th- i sent them a phone number update which they acknowledged..i haven't heard a thing in 5 months.

I've been told by two people that requesting your file notes will only delay the process and potentially aggrevate the person working on the case (perhaps this is due to causing more work)..not sure if this is true or not....I am trying my best to allow the process to run it's course and be patient.

I'm curious why people are thinking that the Pan Am games would impact family visas? i thought that the family class sponsorships were handled by seperate department in havana not related to visitor visas?
