Hi CWorker. My work permit was also LMIA exempt. My employer submitted the documents in last week of March, and I got the employment number in mid April, so it took about 3 weeks. Hope this helps.

Hi. I received a letter from IRCC that states that my previous valid B-1 trv will work with my approved work permit. There is no need to apply separately for a W-1 visa. Hope this helps.
