Hello, So after one year CIC is finally sending team to Fort Mcmurray for citizenship exam. The team will be here for 3 days. Exams will be on June 4 and 5. oath Ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 6th (if you pass the exam). Yeahhh and I am on list for Both!!

I know usually they mail in an invitation letter with all the papers required to bring to the exam. I have my exam in 2 weeks and they told me that a letter was mailed 2 weeks ago which I haven't received yet. I don't want to wait till last min to gather all the documents. I was wondering if...

Now this is confusion... other 2 were saying one can apply without physically being in Canada as long as they are with the citizen husband ?????????????

If the husband is citizen and wife just have a PR. What will happen if he got a job out of canada? does she have to stay back or can she travel with him and still get her citizenship??

I just called CIC and have been told that they mailed me a letter and I will be writing an exam in Fort mcmurray on May 11th. Anyone know any good site to prepare for exam?

I live in Fort mcmurray, AB and I missed my date back in April 2012 and have been waiting since then. It also depend on the location your application is being processed.

Yes I renewed my manual passport by mail. I know its little confusing when you read it but complete the application, attach all the require document and just mail them with a return mail envelope.

you dont have to go in person. Just renew you NICOP http://pcgv.org/consular-services_NICOP.shtml and then just fill the application and mail in to renew your passport. http://pcgv.org/consular-services_passport.shtml For both you can do it by mail

I also just called them today and have been told that Edmonton location is currently scheduling exams (still waiting for some one to come to Fort Mcmurray). He told me that I should be getting in couple of week, max by June.. ha ha what a joke. :-\

Oh I did but I missed my stupid test date just because I got the letter late. so the original test date was April 2012. So I guess I am back in the line since April 2012.
