    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I got both AIP and DM on the 20th, and just received my landing on the 26th. I only had to wait a few days. Landing in Edmonton.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Yeah, I made sure to disclose it with my application, otherwise I'd be misrepresenting myself! It happened in 2009. I was visiting my spouse (boyfriend at the time) for his birthday. I ended up getting an officer who asked a million questions. Basically he denied me entry (technically asked me...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Received my landing appointment an hour ago. I land on November 3rd. A little nervous about the interview, mostly because of the question they'll ask if I've ever been denied entry to Canada. I have once, but I hope it all goes smoothly!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I can confirm that this is true, because this is exactly what I did. My PR application (without the OWP) was received in May. My visitor status would expire by late October, and I sent my OWP during the last week of September, and it was received in early October. I got my OWP in January. I was...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Yup, that's what I'm doing as well. Starting from the bottom and working my way up until I am where I want to be. I'm just glad we finally have the opportunity in doing so!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Keep trying. Hell, even apply for lower tier jobs in order to build up that resume again. That's what I'm doing. I've applied to so many jobs in the last 3 weeks and I've only been on 4 interviews. I managed to finally secure a job this week and will be starting on Monday. It just takes...

Leaving and Re-entering Canada on a Open Work Permit

I also have my OWP and I would love to see my family for at least a week or two, but I personally do not want to risk it.

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

Yeah, my plans of working at a strip club are ruined. Damn you, CiC! :P

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

It does. This is what appears under my work permit. I'm assuming "pending FC APR" means it's linked to a pending family class application.

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

I received my work permit yesterday. They received my PR application in May 2014, and my OWP on September 19, 2014. I guess they're just issuing them as they go along, since many people from 2013 and early 2014 still haven't received theirs. Good luck everyone!

one-year pilot OWP for spouses and common-law partners

At least you're working. Most of us are sitting on our ass for months, not being able to do anything.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

People are waiting basically 17 months for first stage of inland approval. Outland is where the posted times are maybe faster.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Oh, you were joking? My apologies then. I just never know on the Internet, so I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But yes, this is good news for all of us.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

So all of these families are sitting here suffering because they're following the rules and you come out of nowhere happy that you don't have to work illegally anymore? Wow... It may seem like a "gift" to you, but people actually worked to get this to happen. Hope that you don't end up getting...

A pilot is usually another form of saying a testing phase. Most likely they're testing this for a year to see how it works out before making it a permanent thing.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

So you consider it whiny that people have been waiting over a year just so some guy can get up off their ass and briefly view through more than 1 application per two weeks? At least these people are making a change. What are YOU doing?
