    Thread for November 2010 applications

We didn't pay for the PR and the visa office emailed and also sent a letter asking us to pay and send my wife's passport. They should do the same for you. If they haven't contacted you they may have not looked at your file yet.

    Thread for November 2010 applications

It's nice to see that our group has been reborn as we are not at the bottom of pg 1 anymore or worse on another page. I have a question: Does anyone know when a timeline starts? I need Quebec to approve my wife, me, both of us (not sure what they're looking for) and according to them it takes 4...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

Wow we are a quiet group! I had to search for us! I looked and looked and finally I gave up. There were a lot of the other groups or pg 2 or even 3 so I guess it's either everyone is shy now or there's been a lot of new questions asked.

    Thread for November 2010 applications

I think that it's way too soon to be hearing PR but it is encouraging that it might be really soon for some of us. I was the first to recieve the AOR in Dec so I was hopeful but now they asked for things that will take a long time to get and with the distance (Canada to China) I am real worried...

In my experience no they don't. They use regular and cheaper normal postal service. If this is from EMS then I would say that it's probably not from Immigration Canada but get that package asap just in case it is from them.

Star1384, these are al questions you need to ask the carrier. Except for who the package is from I am sure the carrier can answer all these questions and help to put your mind at ease but do it fast in case it is from Canada. Like I said, they give a time limit on replying to them or your file...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

Yes Star1384 found out what that was! It may have not come for him but if it did and it is about the visa application then there will be a certain amount of time to reply with whatever they what. So I say contact the mail service not the visa office. The mail carrier will know where and whe you...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

Looks like you were right. I just checked this morning (for me with the time difference between EST and China) and they recieved it at 11:34am Jan 5. Now hopefully they do it fast cause they say 30 days and with it being mailed to my representative it would be over the 45 day limit Beijing gave...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

I guess we're all in the same boat as we are all waiting (and worrying) for some reason. For me, if you've been following my rare posts is for Quebec to now accept my wife. My dad sent our mini-application to them Dec 31 and I know it's the holidays BUT I just checked Canada post's website and...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

I don't know if this is an AOR but Beijing emailed and also sent a letter to my wife and I saying that they have our/her file and will look into but they want her passport and cause we're going to Quebec with my family until we can get on our feet they want the Quebec approval. Actually...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

Merry Christmas to all! The Beijing office in China contacted my wife by email to ask for some more things from her. Some are not a problem but some we don't have yet (her Quebec approval) and they are not giving much time to get these things. They said we have 45 days to get it and with mailing...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

I know it's hard to wait and I know it's hard to believe this from someone who has already received their approval but if you are doing it outland and the sponsor is not living in Canada then from personal experience I highly recommend getting an unpaid representative (family member or good...

Photo requirements for PR application made in China

I'm also sponsoring my Chinese wife. I know a lot about this if you are doing it from inside China as I live here with my wife until hopefully she gets approved and we can move back to Canada.

    Thread for November 2010 applications

Hey all, I just might have gotten my approval ;D ;D ;D ;D. My representative, Dad, told me he got a letter of approval for me. Living in China I haven't been able to talk to him but I'm hoping he's reading it correctly cause CIC received my application Nov 23. It seems I've gone way ahead of...

    Thread for November 2010 applications

Really wish CIC would update their website. I know they are not looking at my file yet but at least if it shows they are getting CLOSER!!! then I could relax a little more.... or get even more excited/nervous. Congrats to everyone getting news. You are helping me because I know I'm getting...

Woohoo!!!! ;D ;D ;D I'm proud to say that I am a memeber of this thread. I sent my application in Sept but they received it Oct 4th. I, although it's immigration Canada's fault, made a mistake and paid the wrong place. Finally today my dad, my representative, just told me they received...
