I resigned and waited for my OWP for almost 5months without work. My other friend resigned too...and she is out of work for 3months though she got her OWP last week.

Sa tingin ko hindi naman as long as di ka magwork sa iba without a valid work permit. Ako wala ding employer for almost 6 months.

Opened CIC website and and check my status today... "We received your application for permanent residence on January 18, 2010. We started processing your application on March 24, 2010. Medical results have been received. A decision has been made and you will be contacted."

I don't think you will need it. You will attach a photocopy of your work permit, a letter from your employer and your passport and photo. To make sure, you can check their guide and checklist online at CIC.

In my case I did not submit a Canadian Police Clearance coz I submitted my NBI. And if you worked in other countries, you will be required to get a police clearance from there too. When you get your application kit for PR, you can check the checklists and the guide.

@ eimo I think it is better if you call the CIC. I don't think it will take longer if you keep on following it up with them. You can't avoid the ''What ifs". The CIC agents are very nice. They will give you information on what is happening to your papers. Some would really pull out your profile...

LC2 Application Kit for family in your home country. Their file number usually starts with a "B".

Hi, nareceive nila ang letter and lc2 kit with four letter code plus client id ko and yung immigration ID no. na nila para they can access it online. After ng LC2 kit at nasubmit nila yun..usually within 3 months makakatanggap na sila ng medical request. Tawag ka lang sa CIC and double check...

Dumating na yung request nila for medical exam from CEM. Dec 18 nagpacheck up na silang lahat sa NHSI.

For sure approved na yun! Didi you try calling CIC? 1888-242-2100 press 1,2,7 etc para malaman mo if approved then wait 10 days for the papers.;)

You may try calling CIC again and inform them na wala pang narereceive yung family mo ng kit. Possible kasi na nawala yung papers...naligaw..alam mo na. Yung isang friend ko..napunta sa old house nila..buti na lang may kilala sila na nag accept ng kit at binigay sa kanila.

LC2 kit pa lang sila pero hopefully magkahimala para sa ting pinoy ;) maging mabilis. Yung sa friend mo nagpamedical pa ba sya?
