Quick question, does anyone know if Kingston still allow people to pick-up their pp? My hubby dropped his pp off before the courier service was introduced. Do you think he should go ahead and pay the DHL fee and sumbmit the receipt to avoid further delays? or do u think he should wait for them...

Mine also says 'in process' too even though they have my husband's pp.When u click on it, all it says is we started processing your application( with the date).

I have seen where people on here have used it so I guess it may be safe. It seem to be associated with CIC in some way because it was able to show me the same status that's on CIC.

masskendawta, are you sure that when they call for pp drop off they will talk to anyone but you??? Because when they called my husband they had to verify that it was him before they asked him to drop his pp off. It just came to mind!!!

masskendawta: two months and still waiting, I contacted my MP and he called Kingston, only to be told that they are waitng on verification of Marriage Certificate!!! How can you request someone's pp then hold it at ransome to verify documents??? I am mad, frustrated, feeling hopeless at times...

Is she here in Canada???? Cause if she is she'll definitely have to go back so that they can have the pp to process her visa!!! All along I thought she was there in Ja. but unable to personally drop off . I misinterpritted what I read!!! I do aplogize!

masskendawta, my friend had her mom drop her pp off and also pick-up.All she had to do was give her mom a signed permission to pick it up and her mom had to present an I.d but since DHL is delivering now not sure about collecting it back .

My dear I wish I could say when they will give you back your pp. My husband's pp was requested 2 mths and counting and still....... As far as I can see, it's just a case by case basis. They will call for passport drop off and also for pick-up so make sure someone is in control of the phone...

Someone can drop it off for you but they will need to put it in an envelope and place your name and file number on it.
