I had my medical done here in Dallas about two weeks ago, everything clear, however I am having issue with contacting the dr office( the only dr in Dallas that does Canada) for something to show that I did my medical so i can send with my application. The office sends the results electronically...

Got my FBI background check today, now I am in the process of filling out the application. My question is, I am in Dallas and my husband is in Calgary, do I have to fill it all out then mail it to him to mail or can i do it from Dallas?

you are right..let me not wait for the last minute..because I believe the FBI is only good for 3 months and the medical for a year. That does make sense about the USA-CDN scenerio...i just automatically assumed both parties would be called for an interview..thanks for clearing it up for me.

I will def do that, I have actually filled out a few pages, but after a while I end up closing the laptop..but once I get my FBI info back, i will buckle down and do it.

Yea, personally, since my husband is in canada and a canadian citizen, I will not worry about it for now.

I would like to add..that I started a new position, and today as I was filling out my w-4 for taxes, it stated to pick SINGLE AND 1..if you are married but seperated or your spouse is a non citizen.

7 months does not sound so bad 8)..glad to hear it all worked out..now i am just a bit scared of filling out the application, I do not want to make any errors..however I do not want to pay fees for a lawyer

just to add...since being allowed back..i find it easier to just fly instead of drive through(less hassle and questions)..

oh yes..i have learned my lesson very well with Canada..I was given a 1 year exclusion, that is why I am trying to be very careful and not make another mistake...

What if I applied outland then moved there..would that hinder my application or be frowned upon?

Thanks Scylla..i've come to the realization it is quite hard to find an employer while outside..I thought of relocating with my current company, however they are in Edmonton and I will be in Calgary, perhaps it's best to just wait it out..what is another year or so..(sigh)
