If you submitted ur application before the expiry date, then you can continue working no issues. If you submitted after deadline, then it is like u r out of status and cic has to restore your status. I think it is problematic at this sceanrio to work. Consult a immigration lawyer for this. or...

I had similar experience with Detroit for my TRV. But it wokred well with FEDEX. I dont know about PR visa.. Good luck.

Yep pMM is true. I got my visa renewed for last 2 years by mail. I think the intent is more important while determining issue of work permit. TRV is just a travel document. HOpe it helps. When you applied PR?
