    INLANDERS!

Is there anybody on here who sent their app to Vegreville in December 2009? If so, are you able to log into e-CAS?

    Outland application questions

yes to #1...yes, absolutely to #2...and for #3, I'm not sure if you can apply for a work permit concurrently with PR apps, but always always always, make sure you have legal status in Canada (visitor or student visa) if you are going to stay here while your app is in process.

Canadian Citizen marrying U.S. Permanent Resident

Just to make sure its clear, though. You cannot sponsor your fiancee as your fiancee. You have to be married (or living together for one year in common-law) in order to sponsor.

immigrating into Canada with a medical history

You'll want to get your wife a visitor pass at immigration when she comes into Canada. I assume because she is U.S., this would be at the border for you (not at the airport). Its best if you accompany her with your marriage certificate, your passports, and the receipts of the fees for the PR...

please help me about decision made

I take it your are applying outland, through Mississauga? If yes, then likely they made a decision on the sponsorship part of the app. If you don't suspect there might be something wrong with that, it is probably good news. After Mississagua, it goes to the visa office for the applicant's...

    INLANDERS!

As mentioned on your previous thread, the length of time for stage 2 varies, depending primarily on which local office picks up your app. Some offices take 3-4 months to process them, and some take 3 years. It depends on how long it takes to do any background checks, or how long it will take...

    INLANDERS!

Asta, from what I understand, you need to have AIP before you can apply for a work permit, unless of course you sent in the OWP app with your PR app (unlike me). If you didn't, you have to wait, because even if you sent them both in together, they don't process the OWP until you get your AIP...

Thread for applications sent JANUARY 2010

Yea, inland apps are generally slower, so its no surprise to us that they are only on Dec 2.

    inland application

You know, another thing. I was just checking the processing times for Manila, and they are significantly less than if you were to apply inland. You do know that you can be in Canada and still apply outland, do you? You just have to be sure you have a visitors visa and get it extended during...

    inland application

Also note that medical exams are only good for one year as from the day you get permanent residency. Especially with an inland app, it already might take you a year or so to get to that stage from the day you apply. So if your exam is already a few months old, you might have to take it again...

    Immigration Photo websites

You can try going to a photographer's studio, maybe one that advertizes passport photos, and make sure you bring in the photo specifications sheet. Tell them you want immigration photographs, and they particularly have to fit the specifications on the sheet.

    inland application

I'm a little confused about your question. If you had an exam done purposely for immigration and it was done by one of the qualified doctors listed on CIC's website, then the results should have already been sent to CIC. Perhaps you should call the doctor in the Philippines and ask what exam...

TRV extension 69days!! not enough time.

As long as CIC has received the application for extension of TRV before the date the current one expires, you are fine. The instructions recommend you have them receive it at least 30 days before your current one expires. You said yours expires in 6 weeks, so you should be absolutely fine...

    BIZZARE SITUATION !!

Yea, that is quite unfortunate...wow. Well, you did say that she landed in Calgary, yes? Are they (Canada) able to pull up her landing record?

    INLANDERS!

Racoon, The 5-6 month time frame is for first-stage approval. Some applications don't get this approval and are transferred directly to a local CIC office, in your case, Saskatoon. From what I understand of the inland process, your app may not have received first-stage approval for some...

    INLANDERS!

Don't get butterflies, yet, Lylyth, this is probably really good news. This is about the time when they would be approving first-stage for your timeframe. It doesn't look like there is anything particularly negative on your e-CAS, so its probably good for you. Keep us posted! :)
