I just applied last week and I answered with a 'yes'. In an attachment I wrote a small explanation about the slow process and that's the reason that i have to extend it again... Cause last year i really thought it would be all set and done by this time....

Yeah I don't know it's scary but if there's no movement at all till December i'm not sure. ...

I know officially we have to wait till we got our pr card in our hands but if I would have my work permit before Christmas I think I would take the risk...think we have a good story at the border cause we honestly thought that it was all done by that time! But no guarantee though :(

I really feel for you and I can really understand that you've given up hope. First we had plans to go visit my family this summer because early this year it looked like I would have it all done in May, June....but we had to cancel our plans en now we are planning to go with Christmas too, but...

I just sent an email to our MP too. I would strongly encourage everybody to do the same so when Parlement starts Minister Chris Alexander will get a lot of questions!

I'm on the same boat, applied August 28th . I phoned cic last week because my visitor visa expires early October and the lady told me that I don't have to extend my visitors visa because my application is in process.

No they are not....that's exactly what I meant...they are working on backlogs for citizenship so that must be why they don't get any of the applications done! Just what I said before :P ;D

Guess that's why we have to wait 'a little bit' longer >:( This was news on Twitter this morning and retweeted by the minister: " CIC has reduced the citizenship backlog by more than eight percent since February 2014. " I asked that the minister and CIC on Twitter too! >:( #Julyforever
