    Landing processing time?

Hi guys. I'm planning to fly to Canada in early December from China. Destination is Toronto, but I have to make a connection in Vancouver. By Air Canada, the layover time in Vancouver is about 3 hours. Is it enough for processing my documents? First time enter Canada with my newly issued visa...

Hi, I have a friend who is 70 years old, retired and doesn't own a property. Renting a house from another friend with no official lease agreement of any kind. He also lives alone with no family. I know that an American citizen is not required for a visa to travel to Canada if just for a...

A dumb question about mailing the passport.

Problem solved. The staff at USPS already knew even before I began to ask the question. "just fold the 2nd one. We accept it."

A dumb question about mailing the passport.

The LA office sent me a ppr. In the instruction it says "Please purchase two prepaid, 9" x 12" USPS Express Mail or USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation envelopes. Enclose one envelope in the other envelope. Add the passport(s) and documents you wish to send to us. This second...

Please sign petition to reduce long processing times

This petition is weak. There's no supporting evidence for the argument. It sounds more like a complaint from the wording you chose to use. I agree with you about the processing time. It's ridiculously long and different cases are being treated differently.

The address to where you send your passport (LA office)

Hi, I got my ppr yesterday, and in the email it asks me to send my passport to this address ( 550 South Hope Street, 9th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071) but I remember someone said that it's actually a different address. Which one should I use? Thanks!

Los Angeles Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

You will be more likely to be requested for an interview if your file had been transferred to LA. We (married) filed our app about the same time as yours (June 2013). And our file was transferred to LA in March. Then we got an email in June asking for an interview that was scheduled in August...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Under the "Minimum residency obligations". "If you have been a permanent resident for less than five (5) years you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident." So basically...

Gay marriage in another country recognized in Canada vs conjugal partner

More over, Tink23 is right. Conjugal is very hard to get approved unless you have a very very very strong argument that support your idea of not to get married. Philippines doesn't recognize same sex marriage and your partner wasn't allow to visit you in Canada, so that you two can't get...
