Somewhere between Friday and right now “review of eligibility status” changed from “we’ll tell you when we start to review your eligibility” to “We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.” I guess something is happening.

Hard to say how it supposed to be, but I was suggested to write both, one basically repeating the original SoP, and the other (the LoE) being directly addressing the points made in the GCMS.

Don't want to just echo everyone else but: order the GCMS notes. You will see what exactly the officer processing your app didn't like. There's no problem in submitting a subsequent application, and if you'll manage to directly address the pointed out issues, they might approve it.

Something curious happened today, the "maybe something, maybe not" kind. I've got two emails from the contractor that took my biometrics, one saying that "The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center"...
