ummm, but if you open the documents checklist, in the section for "work experience in Canada", you will find that the following documents are required: Copies of your most recent work permit (so it seems that work permits are must, otherwise they should have said work/study permits instead)...

This is a good question because a lot of international students (have not graduated yet) here have worked as RAs for more than 2 years, so we might be qualified as foreign workers

What I understand from the checklist in item 13 (Education/Training/Qualifications) is that originals are only required from applicants from China

As u can notice from older posts here, applicants were still receiving their PER e-mail till two weeks ago, the last date a PER e-mail was received was on Nov 21 as I remember, which means that CIC were still opening applications till few days before that date. U r so unlucky ! hope u get your application back very soon, I think u will not need to update anything, it was just sent 40 days ago, mail it back to them right away, It seems that CIC do like so much the game of mailing and receiving exact application packages :)

ojohn22, good idea. We are being treated with total injustice and disrespect, why don't they put us at the end of the line instead of mailing applications back to us, this is even easier and cheaper for them and it is not gonna hurt anyyyy other applicant ! Really this is the most illogical...
