Right, and the AOR is proof of receipt from CIC that you have a Permanent Residency application in, so this serves as proof of your implied status I believe.

Yes, an AOR grants the applicant implied status. You may want to call CIC or email them and see if they will refund you the $75. They may not catch the overlap there.

I would encourage you to mention it. But it may cause suspicion. What you're going to do is immigrate somewhere, with a past of immigrating illegally. So just be ready for questions, but honesty is the way better path. Hopefully someone with more detailed knowledge can guide you here.

I would say that sounds right, that you've been living in Canada since you arrived. The only thing though would be if you needed a new visa to enter Canada after your trip home, then I would think your time living in Canada would be from the most recent entry.
