Our status changed to "in process" today!!! :D They asked for the updated police certificate on Sept 4th, we sent it right away. It was received by them on Sept 8th. In Ecas it says that they started processing our application on Sept 9th - a day after they received the police certificate

Re: UPDATE OMG!! They must have a back-up printer, I am sure there is just not only one (I hope!)! If the print server is down then it must have been a high priority issue treated by the embassy IT teams (I hope there is one!). It must have been resolved by now. I have never seen a server issue...

Thanks Galip, it makes more sense to think that they asked for an up to date police certificate. As i said before getting the police certificate for Turkey is the easiest thing. We have already sent it to the embassy on Friday, it should arrive on Monday. Now we just have to wait and see… :)

@KingC - your inbox is full my message didn't go through :) I think you can still get the paper form of the police certificate. My husband will get it tomorrow from the court house. I will keep you posted. @SheD - thanks sweetie! We just have to continue being patient it seems.

I have just checked the status, still shows "application received". Maybe it will change overnight. Asking to re-send the police report seems to be a pattern now for Turkish applicants. Maybe there is a new officer who is unable to differentiate an original from a copy. Or the document is really...

So they emailed us just now and they are asking for the original of the Turkish police certificate! We have already included that in the application. They lost our police report too, same thing happened to KingC... Hope it won't happen to anyone else Oh well we will send it once again...

I am so sorry to hear that :( But hey getting the police report takes only half an hour and you can have it translated and send it over to the embassy in a day. So hopefully it will not delay your process and you will get the good news sooner than you thought
