Wait so you had an OWP before implied status? Implied status means that you have to honour the conditions of your previous work permit, but if it was open, then you can change companies. Right?

My email was directly from the Visa Office and it had a letter attached that didn't say which VO it was, but the email itself was signed by the VO. Did you get an email yourself for SA?

Mine said the date the application was received in general, June 11 that is. I think that's how they consider it. Not all offices send AOR though!
