As far as I know, VFS in China is working. But it is not clear if they process TRV application. They don't answer this explicitly on the phone.

I'm from outside of Canada. My employer asked the lawyer about my status and send employer support letter to IRCC. Then the work permit was approved a month ago, but still no passport request. Any one know the reason and any action needed?

Everybody needs passport request in order to get their visa posted on the passport. I don't know if we are in the same case. My employer help to handle all these issues for me and just inform me about the progress.

I am applying a close WP, while the lawyer at the same time help to apply open WP for my wife and study permit (for elementary school) for my kid, as I was told so. My work permit is approved but no passport request got, so I just wonder when can I apply for the written approval for them...

I have a close work permit and will get visa with an offer waiting for me. My wife and child will have open work permit without offer and study permit. Can they go to Canada with me together?

which country she was mentioning? Most approved are from US till now

I also saw that. The strange thing is: IRCC claim that the delay is caused by covid-19, but most approved are from US(who has the most affected)

I know someone got wp approval in July. I don't know more detail but I guess its GTS+LMIA

I found recently a lot of work permit got approved for US applicants, and don't know the reason. Any one know if each application was processed in the Canada embassy(or IRCC branch in every country) in his country or all of them in Canada?
