Well I meant the same thing but didn't use a good wording! As vivi said only PRs and citizens of other nationalities are exempt from paying the exit fee. Of course for getting the travel dollar we need to pay the exit fee too.

U have to pay the exit fee if u want to get travel dollar (it's reduced to 1000 for Canada!). So the answer to both questions is yes.

Maybe because I'm a boy I didn't notice. But I found Ankara a very safe city with friendly ppl who can't speak English!! Obviously, booking a hotel close to the embassy has its own advantages.

One other thing about Ankara! Taxi fare from airport to city center is between 70-80 lira, but if u use bus it's only 5-10 lira. I never used a taxi during my stay in Ankara. The biggest problem I faced in Ankara was that most of ppl couldnt speak English. I believe having a map is necessary...

Mer30 rah. Actually there r 2 airlines having direct flights to Ankara; one is Iran Air and the other one is Turkish Airline (Anadolu). Although Turkish is around 120 toman more expensive, it is more convenient (due to having flights on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday). Iran Air has flights only on...
