We can only theorize/hypothesize on this forum about how they, at IRCC process our applications. From what I observed here on the forum there are people who submitted their applications in December, 2021 and their applications are almost finalized and there are people who submitted their...

From what I noticed here on the forum it all depends if your application gets picked out by someone at IRCC. The ones that did get picked seem to solve within a year, the ones that don’t, like mine, will take longer- how long? No one really knows, I think, but they do give you a ballpark term...

Also if I saw our application number in the GCkey (without receiving an AOR yet) can I request via email what’s it taking so long to even open our file? Do they reply to this kind of inquiries? What are your experiences with inquiries via email to IRCC?

Hello! I’m new here. My mom’s application was sent on December 5th, 2021 right before the deadline and she still hasn’t received the AOR. Is anybody else in the same boat? It’s been over 8 months now. Should we worry?
