Hi, I need some help and I am not very sure if this question is relevant for this group. I am in the US and received my COPR for me and my wife a few weeks ago with expiry date of September 2021. We also just found out that we are pregnant. So, I wanted to ask the below questions: 1. How...

So, here are the answers based on my experience: 1. Can we fold the return fedex envelope and send? Or they have a bigger reusable envelope, for return. which one should be use to send...? I asked Fedex employee to do that. They are experts on this. They used a bigger envelope to enclose a...

Yes - return envelope is important. CIC send your Passports and COPR using the returned envelope. Also, if you have not sent already, I would not change Address Line 1 - may not be an issue but sometimes these systems are heavily dependent on Address Line 1 and Zipcode.

I used short form - that works fine. This is what I used after suggestion from Fedex employees - CPCO – PR VISA US PERM/TEMP RESID. VISA/PASSPORTS 365 LAURIER AV. WEST OTTAWA, ON, CA, K1A1L1 And I used the same in the From section in the return envelope.

So I never had to check this proof earlier as my timeline was quick. But, you are right that delivery location in proof of delivery is different than the destination. I assume this is similar to my return shipment where I noticed it came through Quebec instead of Ottawa. I assume this may be due...

How did you contact them? Did you reply on the same email that they sent you - I think that would be the best approach.

Hmm.. do you want to contact CIC to confirm. I used Fedex. Here is my timeline - Ready for Visa email: Nov 16 Passport Sent to CPC: Nov 17 Passport Received at CPC: Nov 18 Approved in CIC portal: Nov 24 Passport return tracker activated: Nov 30 - I did notice that original shipment was Nov 25...

I would suggest following the instructions from CIC on where to send the passport as I think it would depend on each VO. For me, it was - CPCO – PR VISA US Permanent /Temporary Residence VISA/Passports 365 Laurier Av. West Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

We received our COPR and passports today. We are living in the US and wanted to check whether we are exempt from travel to Canada. As per the below site, it appears we are exempt since we have a valid COPR and you’re currently living in the U.S. and will be coming to Canada directly...

It happened fast.. I got the confirmation of delivery from Fedex the next day - in another couple of days, I received an email from CIC about the update in the system, the CIC portal shows "Approved".. and then received a return tracker update today. Hoping to receive the passports tomorrow. So...

@legalfalcon I also see a new entry in my CIC profile - Proof of citizenship and/or search of citizenship records - with 60 days left to submit. Does anyone know what this is.

The Ready for Visa email instruction says we need to send our passports and documents to Ottawa address. This address is especially for US residence and is different from other Ottawa address for Canadian residence in the instruction email.

@Fisheye1 So, I finally used Fedex. UPS said they could not generate a return label for Canada. Same for Fedex but they had a way where you can generate another shipping label by using one of their terminals. So, I did the same and was able to send. USPS - I read somewhere that USPS do not...

I think it is CIO - Central Intake Office. I got an email from them and also Annex A has CIO mentioned.

I would avoid USPS. UPS or Fedex should be fine. I am planning to send via UPS today.
