It happened to us. No update upon our return for a month even after sending them couple of emails. Then went to the alternate route (true though), saying, I have a travel plan in June this year and therefore want to have my passport before that. Received oath invitation within a week.

My plan is to apply for urgent passport if I receive the certificate in two days. Urgent passport can be issued in one day from where I live.

Nope, as soon as you will take the oath, your PR Card will be invalid even if you somehow manage to save it! I am on the same boat, so now I ask CIC either to issue the certificate in a week or reschedule the ceremony.

The letter says 2-4 weeks and contact IRCC if it still outstanding after 6 weeks! However, the letter also says if we need certificate urgently, the officer will work with the applicant during registration.

Getting citizenship certificate on time is the key. Cause a passport can be issued by one day. In my case, I have to wait for uncertain times to get the citizenship certificate, hence, prefer to reschedule.

Thanks. Actually I talked to agent over the phone and I have to reschedule my oath ceremony as it will take some time to receive the citizenship certificate and then application for passport. I am still waiting for the invitation email, once received, i will let the IRCC officer know and request...

Status updated online today. Oath scheduled for November 13th and I am leaving on vacation on November 14th. So need to reschedule that oath..... :(

If they never send you an FF request then they would not send you. But if you received first FF request and it expired, then at some point of time, you will receive the 2nd FF request.

It took one and half month to change the status to Decision Made after receiving my FF.
