All the things are 100% correct and I agree. I am here just stating that there should be some criteria to increase the odds for the people who have lived more here then then ones who just came recently in my opinion.
Agree that PGP is not a guarantee, but the way they are handling this program with no clear hope and based on mere luck seems to be unfair to those taxpayers who are trying there chance for so many years in comparison with some who got lucky in their first try. I understand this is what lottery...
Basically the intent is to bring them as PRs and have their provincial health insurance coverage. As the parent is a non working personal , the option for skilled worker and as a investor seems not applicable . So no choice but to wait and rely on a lottery system which is failing many Canadians...
Any one was able to get visa even if the ties to the country are just a job assurance with no travel history and not a strong bank statement? I know that wont be a strong case but are there any ways that can make the sibling's case strong for a short term visa ?
Does she own property in her name? No
- Can she show a bank balance with savings in her name? No
- Does she have previous travel to countries requiring visas such as the US or UK? No
- Does she have children? (Assume not but asking just in case.) Yes, she is divorced and her children are all...
Are there any forum members who were in the same boat as me and have their siblings visit visa ? What different you have done to get the visa? Any help would be appriciated.

Thank you scylla. And there is no other way we can bring our parent as a PR except this sponsorship right ? I mean I understand temporary visa but those are all with heath benefits. Only this is the one (PGP Sponsorship) that gives us the health benefit or there are other ways that I don't know...
I want to have my brother visiting me here in Canada . He is single and working He does not have any property there in his home country and not that good of a bank account. Wat else he can do to provide ties to his home country besides his job experience or service letter to get a better chance...
Thank you so much for the replies. I checked with them again and they informed me that the 5000 amount was when biometric is done along with passport submission. So that clears out the confusion. The amount is indeed PKR Rs 2700 for passport submission.
There is an option for purpose of my visit under Details of visit to Canada in the imm5257e. If you are applying for a super visa I would suggest that you should always use a super visa as an option.
Thank you for the update. Are the fees vary depending upon VFS? I hear that it would take 5000 PKR now in Karachi? Are the charges written on their website? Do they provide any sort of receipt after the payment?
Is there anyone here who has recent experience of submitting a passport for a visa at VFS Karachi ?
How long does the process take?
What are the charges/fees?
Can someone else submit and collect the passport on your behalf?
I went to their website but there are no info except timings
Did anyone apply super visa for their parents in April 2021? Can they share their timelines of receiving PPR after medical is passed and updated in the application on the GC portal?
This was the refusal reason:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
