I have a silly question.... what's the difference between where I submitted my application for sponsorship through the PR portal and the IRCC portal? Do I need to create an account there, and link my PR application so I can track it or just wait to be emailed?

Thanks for that tip! It was a hassle when I applied for PR, due to having to report all my entries and exits from the US...thankfully I remembered I have a EZ Pass for the bridge toll and I used that. But excellent point, I think I'll have to keep a diary in the car....LOL

I will be facing the same issue shortly. Of my research I found: 1) For vehicle importation...that parts easy. However you won't be able to import the vehicle if you still have a loan on it...otherwise your allowed to declare one vehicle on your goods to follow form without having to pay taxes...

My partner moved from the US to Toronto. He ended up renting a U-Haul and driving it up there. He filled out the good to follow ppw. He crossed at the Peace Bridge...no issues, they didn't even look through the U-Haul.

Have you had any luck with the TRV? I was considering doing the same due to my job being in the US and needing to cross the border daily.

I Just saw this response. My partner landed in March of 2018 and moved to Canada in April of 2019. We ended up getting married this year instead of having to apply under common law.
