    Yes, I agree. If you want to play safe, you can send the new LOA. But this tweet shows that deferral after AIP does not affect your application since it is between you and your DLI.

    A deferral in start-date is between you and your DLI. It shouldn’t affect your study permit application, though if you defer your start-date by 150 days or more, you’ll need to send us a new acceptance letter from your DLI.

    The guy in this topic got rejected after receiving AIP but he didn't defer. It means that deferral is not a reason for rejection. Also, the IRCC agent in the webinar and their twitter account clearly stated that deferral won't change your eligibility status.
