We were ready to pay fees but the school did not give us the option of refund in case of visa rejection. My mom showed +CAD 70k in her bank statement.

Hehe.. that's True but I still tried... Only registration fees paid but not tuition fees. School gave us this option to start studying online for a month as we expect ircc decision by early or mid october.

Yes, it was exactly done this way. Still got refused on the grounds saying "not convinced will leave canada...." In the second application, My mom wrote a letter of explanation and I also submitted SOP separately expressing my purpose of study and return back.
