Thanks for the clarification everyone. Really appreciate it. One last question, in my cover letter to extend my stay should I mention I have a PR application in process. Is being honest a good/bad thing?

When I head over to extend my stay and do the fill out eligibility questionnaire, it tells me I am eligible to apply for PR which I already did in May 2017.
