    That's really weird that they'd ask you that. I guess you could give them the immigration address if that works, or try going to your online banking main page which has your account balance, and save that as a pdf.     I went to my bank and asked them to print my account balance, it wasn't really a formal letter. I included that along with that statements, which turned out to be enough to get my permit extended.
