Deck officers, water transport (NOC 2273)

Thank you so much for enlightening us. Those jobs you mentioned are exactly what he's eyeing for in Canada. Now, I have some followup questions. If he follows me while I'm studying there, is there a chance for him to land those jobs (assuming he has already gone through those bridging courses)...

Can I apply BOWP Have aplied PR under CEC

Thank you for your response. I think will take a chance by applying BOWP with a letter of explanation in the month of January if I don't get PR by then.

Applied for CEC and Bridging work permit, still want to be prepared for worst case scenario

Absolutely wrong in question number 1! If your PR application passes the R10 checks (which is a general check by case analyst to see if your EE profile has all the required documents and the documents are valid ...) AND you applied for the BOWP within 4 months before your current work permit...

June 2018 AOR - join here

Hi, I can't remember and unfortunately I don't have access to my account right now to tell you. But, the answers to some of the questions in the tool is very important and I remember that some of them were confusing for me. Are you sure you answered all of them correctly? I left the details of...

    Reasons for Rejection (Faraz Summary)

Sorry to hear about the rejection. About the bridging work permit, it's linked to the APR that you had submitted. Since that's been refused, BOWP application won't be approved. Not sure if Implied status will be valid now that APR is refused.

    CEC October 2014 Applicants

I can only safely answer one of your questions- BOWP stands for bridging open work permit. You can google it to read all about it. But basically if you have an AOR and your current work permit is about to expire in four months or less you can apply for the BOWP in order to continue working in...

Urgent: CIC refused my work permit application, ITA already received!

My advice is get a very good lawyer to look at this and see if the refusal is in order or if a reconsideration is possible. Alternatively if you just go ahead and apply for restoration its most likely to visitor status and no guarantee you will get it. All the best!

May I know when did you send your federal application to CIO Sydney?

Complicated case. Very stressed, please help.

I think your situation is sufficiently complex that you would do well to get a consult with a good immigration lawyer (not a consultant). My thoughts (but again, get a consult with an immigration lawyer): - There's a decent chance you will lose the 50 points if your employer is terminating you...

    Implied status when submitting PR?

..."Eligibility parameters for bridging open work permits To be eligible for a BOWP, foreign nationals must be currently in Canada; have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within the next 4 months; be the principal applicant on an APR under the FSWC, the CEC, the FSTC, the PNC...

Can i find a new job with a BOWP?

If you have filed a PR application, you are eligible for a BOWP. If you want to continue on LMIA, that is between you and your employer. You can apply for a BOWP and continue with the same job it does not matter. However, the employer will prefer you going on BOWP, as they will not have to pay...

Express entry ITA, Work Permit expired, have LMIA, what to do next?

    1. Yes 2. Yes, with restoration of status. Not guaranteed. 3. It's an option. 4. Not all citizenship can do that. 5. That could have consequences. Others can comment but the person is currently out of status and best route is to leave Canada and apply for PR without jeopardizing anything further.

Steps to link your SOWP Paper Application to CIC Online

It did not work. I am in a common law relationship with a Canadian, (im Australian) and have applied through common law. I followed your steps to the tee except selected "applied for PR through common law within Canada" the first time - didn't work. selected "applied for bridging OWP" the second...

COPR details(in tracker) final decision (GCkey) available, since 3 months, no update after April.

...days.. it’s almost a month and I haven't heard back from MP or IRCC… In addition to this, in February they refused my bridging Open work permit by saying “PR not in process”… while it was clearly in process like my Biometric was scheduled when they refused my BOWP…I tried contacting them and...

    ****** CEC - January 2024 AOR ******

The procedure is supposed to take like 5 months in total. The real processing -generally speaking- starts in the last month i.e. 4 months after your AoR. That said, in your case (aslo generally speaking), you shouldn't expect any progress in April. However, people aren't in a strict queue in...
