you could give them a call but with the strike and all that going on I don't even know if someone would be able to give you an update. Best to wait for now.

I think you should contact IRCC again next week saying your application had exceeded the processing time stated on their website and see what they say.

I find that you have to be specific otherwise they will be generic. "Has my LPP started yet" and not "Is there an update". In your case: "I got a ghost update in my tracker and it was not updated, can you tell me what the update was" and they typically tell you. Not advice, just what has worked...
