send application with passport to Ottawa on June 5th2012, received back on July 3rd 2012 with multiple entry , valid uptill July 30th 2012 . which means he can leave canada anytime now but should return in the country before July 30th 2012 :'(

it usually takes 30days. i submitted my passport on 5th june 2012, and i received it today july 3rd 2012. Hope this helps. rb22
