We've been called for an INTERVIEW!

Ok, after 2 years of going outta our mind we finally received a response from the immigration guys. We have been called for an interview in Feb! We are thrilled that this daunting process is coming to an end but one thing I've always been confused/intimated about was the actual interview. WHAT...

Submitted husband's police reference check documents. Now what?!

I'm sponsoring my husband (in-land) and the process has been going for a year (AGONY!!!). Last thing they asked for was his police reference check and we got it from back home. A few weeks ago they've notified us by online that they've received it (yey!) and that "A decision has been made and...

    ALMOST THERE(?)

I'm sponsoring my husband (inland) and after one and a half years of frustration, countless sleepless nights and lots of stress later, he has been provided with a health card and a temporary work permit. Next, we have to obtain his police clearance paper from back home (Bangladesh) and send it...

    What happens next?

Yea, it will show "In Process". When you click on it, will show something like "We have received your application on ------". After that they'll keep updating. Call them up once in a while too because although the wait time is long, you can find things out sooner. We called them yesterday and...

    What happens next?

Congrats for sending in your application! Now the hard time begins. Outlands probably take more time than Inlands and are quite different but lemme share what I've gone through/going through. It will be at least 6 months until you hear anything from them. Are you doing this through a lawyer? If...

    Photos

I agree. It shouldn't really matter as long as the photos are real and clear and you label them correctly. All they care about is whether the marriage is real and you are who you say you are. We sent in original hard copies though.

Clarification regarding letter from the Case Processing Centre

The whole ordeal is enough to drive a completely sane person totally insane! We called the Call Centre today and they said they're sending him his OHIP and Open Work Permit applications (phew!) and asked for a police clearance report from back home. Then there will be some background...

Hi, everyone! I'm sponsoring my husband (in-land) and I've just received a letter from the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville. The letter states that I've met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor and explains my duties/obligations. It also states if my husband's application of PR...

How heavy was your application? :-)

Don't know the exact weight but a LOT of stuff went in with the application. We're still waiting for their decision (it's been almost 6 months). I just hope they hurry the hell up and don't ask for more stuff! This wait is more than enough to drive anyone insane :(
