Hi! I've applied for FSW and received my AOR today (July 19th). I have a high BMI (slightly obese), but do not have any other medical conditions such as diabetes. Is this likely to be a cause of a possible rejection of my application?

They do add an extra 5.00 bucks if you have Diabetes because it adds one more blood test. and THAT DOCTOR IS AWESOME lol

never seen any updates during the weekend. my medical took a month to pass and there were no issues or concerns whatsoever. just hang tight. besides, diabetes isn't considered an illness that would be a strain on the health system, its really very common.

They check for Diabetes, Thalassemia, HIV/AIDS, any kidney or liver disease, Hepatitis b,c,d, Syphilis etc.

I am diabetic too and I received email few days ago that my visa is ready for issuance and I should send copies of my passport. If ur diabetes is under control then there is no chance that they will reject your application. Faisal

Hi Torontob, My dad is 60 years old, i didn't mention any medical condition in the application .. Only when we bought the medical insurance we mentioned that he has diabetes and blood pressure. Is it possible that they don't request medical for my mum ?

Thanks @ iam_toby, I appreciate it. Strange !! I know many people got their PR even they are obese. like real obese. being a pharmacist, i know that most of obese people are prone to high BP or cholesterol and diabetes. even smokes do ! How unpredictable !

you should try to lose weight for your own health, Canada will let you in right now but if you gain more weight and develop diabetes, who knows. ::)

hi kidrobot, It is a normal physical examination and questioning by the doctor - if you had any disease or surgeries before etc., blood test (to check only HIV etc., - not conditions like diabetes, thyroid etc.,) Urine test X-ray (to rule out TB) thanks kayal

Hi, what about past medical history of parents? would it affect my case? my mother died of cerebral aneurysm and my father with renal failure related to diabetes. should i declare their actual cause of deaths? would appreciate your inputs on this please...thanks!

If anyone has a history of diabetes/ Blood pressure etc plz do a medical check up 10 days before ur actual DMP slated tests and check ur levels or else u could be subjected to further tests thereby delaying ur cases further,

He will ask about Diabetes... it is in the IMM 5419 Medical form Question 10... so if you hide it... you will be lying... Don't hide it... or you'll risk not only denial for misrepresentation... but also you will be banned for two years... Regards.
