Well, got an invitation yesterday, smashed out the application, submitted it, got an AOR and filled in the web form asking to connect the new PR app to the old BOWP app. Hopefully this works.

But won't it be a different application #? I'd still need to fill in the web form wouldn't I?

Looks like there might be a CEC program specific draw tomorrow, and if that's the case I'll reapply straight away. Any tips for how I might word a letter asking to link the new file to the old BOWP application?

Thanks Shomaro. Sorry for being daft, but I'm a bit confused. The open work permit associated with my IEC visa has expired, so if I apply to restore my status, it'll have to be as a visitor, won't it? So to continue working I'll need to get a new temporary work permit while I wait for my new PR...

Thanks guys. Appreciate your help. Not sure if I can afford to live in Canada for six months without working though. Pretty grim prospects it seems. All because of one missed email.

But I can't restore my status if my IEC visa has expired can I? The visawhisperer and others have said that I'm still on implied status until the BOWP has actually been denied?

Final Q: if the cutoff doesn't come down tomorrow, do you think the draw in two weeks is a possibility? Or will the BOWP likely be processed before that?
