My visa too got approved today. I applied Offline ,in how many days will I get my passport any idea? My classes have already begun and maximum i can go by 25 Jan as the uni refused to defer.

Yeah passport :) Na,I do not know anyone with the same scene as ours.I am just finding people just like you. But still I did not understand what could be the ground they would be granting defer. What are your plans now?

I applied offline so my visa is submitted.You filled the webform you mean? I also intend to fill it first,see what they reply. I'll wait till friday,if I do not get the visa then I'll drop a mail to them asking to defer. I read on their website that they do not defer ,it's in their FAQ session...

I can understand your predicament.I am going through the exact same. Same is the scenario with me. IF my visa does not come by next week then I will be short of attendance.So,there is no point of going then. Also,if the University do not defer then,we not only will have to apply for the course...

Oh My God.It is a serious issue then.I do not know when will I get my visa if the uni asks for them during defer. So what have you decided now? Are you from India? Did you apply through some consultancy or yourself?
