Its not mandatory. If you wish to track when GUs are done and when they send you the card, you can link PR Card application in your IRCC account. Even if you don't do this, PR card will be mailed to you.

26th August-eCOPR & got GU1 today- Sep 16

Broadly, IRCC is sticking to their processing times. I have no complaint. For me AOR to eCOPR took 4.5 months & eCOPR to PR card should be taking less than 25 days. This all within mentioned processing times given by IRCC.

GU = Ghost Update. Once eCOPR is issued, applicant can link the PR Card application with the IRCC/GC Key account and track there. GU1 & GU2 is when the status of application changes twice before they dispatch the PR card via mail.

Today I got the GU1. P1,P2 & eCOPR in Aug. My timeline is in the signature for those who want to refer.

I sent emails separately to each VOs email address with same subject and body. Used the same email subject as received in P1 email.

Kai method is to send P1 reply to 5-6 VO emails addresses. In my case, After waiting for almost 15 days from P1, I sent emails to VOs and received P2 next business day. So it worked for me somehow. Few people have reported that it did not work for them or unfair to bombard the inboxes of VOs...

Can someone please tell me how the Ghost Update looks like after receiving eCOPR? Currently the PR Card application has below status in GC Key: "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

This will be updated in IRCC/GC Key account. Right?

I got my eCoPR on 26 Aug and linked the PR Card application with GC key on 28 Aug. Since then I have gotten no update. When should I expect the next update anywhere(PR Confirmation Portal or IRCC Account) and what that update should be like?

In which portal do we have to create account to track the status of PR Card? I have GC Key & access to PR Confirmation Portal. Please advice.

Update: Got e-CoPR today.

I got the P2 email on next business day of sending the emails.

I filled-in the date when I entered Canada irrespective of the stamping in my passport.

Got P2 email today at 11 AM. Sending emails to all VOs worked for me. Emails to VOs were sent yesterday after waiting since Aug 6th when I got P1 email.
