I think Miss Bee explained you everything very clearly, You need to stop crying here every single day and respect the purpose of this group. None of us is IRCC but we all in the same situation. As someone already mentioned YOU ARE NOT SOMEONE SPECIAL.

Hi @Miss bee,
I have applied for Canadian permanent residency through the non-Express Entry stream for both myself and my wife. We received the Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL), and our medical exams were completed on May 1, 2025. I plan to travel to my home country in June and return in July, while my wife will return in September.
I have the following questions regarding the next steps in my PR process:
- If I receive P1 in June, should I proceed with it immediately, or should I reply stating my travel plans and accept it after returning to Canada?
- If I receive P1 in July (after I come back), can I apply for it right away, or is it advisable to wait until my wife is back in Canada in September?
- Is it possible to proceed with P1&P2 without my wife’s presence in Canada and apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) for her separately?

Hello everyone and @Miss bee ,

Here's the timeline of my non-Express Entry OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) application process:

May 19, 2024: Submitted my OINP application (from within Canada).
September 2024: Received AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) and was asked to pay biometrics fees (I hadn’t paid them during the initial submission).
November 7, 2024: Received Biometric Request and Received a request letter from IRCC due to incomplete information in my IMM5604 form.
November 9, 2024: Medical exam was marked as passed.
November 14, 2024: Gave my biometrics.
November 17, 2024: Submitted the corrected IMM5604 form.

It has now been around 7 months since I applied, and I’m still waiting for my Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL).

However, I’ve noticed that applicants who submitted their applications in July 2024 have already received their Final Decisions.
I did never engage myself in past visa refusals or engaged in flagpoling (leaving and re-entering Canada at a land border to process an immigration application). Then why there is so much delay in my application ?

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I m in Canada since 2020. Lets wait and see then.
So today, I got medical requests for my spouse and child except myself. I am the primary applicant, I am unsure if it s just a matter of time that they will send one for me later on.

Hi guys. Just one quick question. Do I need to be physically present in Canada to replymto P1 and P2? Or just to reply to P1?

I am currently abroad visiting family so I want to have an idea of my possible return date to Canada. I applied on Aug 1 and I am still waiting for FD.

Thanks

If your PR tracker has not been functioning properly
for two months—constantly refreshing and returning to the main page—it could be due to a technical glitch in the system. Try clearing your browser cache, using a different browser, or accessing the tracker in incognito mode. If the issue persists, you should report the problem using the IRCC webform under “technical difficulties.”
Regarding your request to receive a passport request (PPR) at your home country’s embassy due to your travel plans, you can inform IRCC through the Permanent Residence Portal (Portal 1) or via the webform, depending on where your application is being processed. Clearly explain your situation and provide your expected travel dates and the embassy location. IRCC may accommodate your request by transferring your file to the appropriate visa office, though it is at their discretion. The timeline for such a transfer can vary widely—from a few weeks to a couple of months—depending on the workload and internal processes at IRCC and the embassy. It’s advisable to notify them well in advance of your travel to increase the chances of a smooth transition.
Good morning @Miss bee ,

I am in a similar situation. I am an inland applicant. I received my PR portal 1 email in May 16, I responded within the same day in Canada and I have not received Portal 2 till now. I have a scheduled vacation to my home country from August 31 to September 20, 2025. I am aware that according to the current processing time, likely I won't received my PR card before my trip.

Could you please advise on what is the best practice here? Should I respond to Portal 1 email again to state my future expected entry/return-to-Canada date (ie Sep 20, 2025)? Should I request a PPR in my home country or should I wait and see if my PR card gets issued before my trip?

Thank you so much in advance for your response. Your insight would be very very valuable!
