I will appreciate if I get answers to my questions. I’m planning to submit my citizenship application any time from now but my foreign international passport is expired. Can I use an expired international passport to apply for citizenship?
Again, I am currently on maternity leave. Do I need to mention that as part of work history or just mention my work place as my current activity since i will still be going back to the same job after my maternity leave.

You can apply with an expired passport.
Also, it doesn't really matter whether you specify the maternity leave of just list your job, pick one and move on, it won't affect your citizen ship one way or another.

Alright, thanks for responding. Please, what do you mean by “just list your job, pick one and move on”

Either inform maternity leave or just leave your job on the form; you're still technically employed, it's not really relevant for IRCC.

I applied citizenship on expired passport after 3.5 years physical presence in Canada as PR . I was asked for PCC for my stay in home country for the previous 1.5 yr. I had to renew passport to get that PCC.

Everything Just delayed my application. Currently struck in LPP complete, waiting for Oath.

My suggestion is to keep one passport active at all times. Works in case of any emergency travels.

I ignored to renew passport as I thought citizenship application would be faster but proved otherwise.

Oh mine so sorry. Hopefully you have gotten it now. If I understand you correctly, you stayed in your home country for 1.5 years right? If that is the case you have to provide a police report. My passport expired last year and I have only stayed in my home country for just a week since I was PR so will I still need PCC in this case?

I may have interpreted the question wrong in the application.

Now I got oath date. So all good.
