TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

Hi guys, I just wanted to share my timeline as a reference for you.

March 23rd - Confirmation of application
April 4th - Correspondence Letter (Biometric Validity)
April 11th - Approval and Passport Request Letter

Just a quick heads up - the IRCC website still says my application was approved on April 4th, but I received the email on the 11th. Also, the application status tracker hasn’t been updated since April 7th, so it still shows as in progress. I was a bit worried because the tracker showed my background check was in progress (I thought my application got stuck), but I got the passport request letter on the 11th.

Don’t let this get you down! Keep a positive attitude and stay calm.

Have you sent your passport to CPC Ottawa and got it stamped back? . It looks like it is taking longer than expected to get passports back.

I sent my passport on April 7th and they recived it on April 8th itself as I live in Ottawa. Today is April 15th But still it is showing as processing It may take 14 working days to process it seems as they mentioned in their website

I know, right? Do they send a notification when they receive the passport, or can you just track it from Canada Post or the courier?

You can track from the tracking number given in the canada post envelope which you have sent

Can anyone advise on when I might received my PPR as I have a trip coming up first week in May. I applied for my TRV on March 7th and I received an update about ""final decision- we are processing your application" on April 11. I called IRCC who have confirmed my application has been approved. How long does it take to get PPR? should i reach out to my MP to help or they send it within 2 weeks?
