Not an extension So 3 weeks. But that is just an estimate.

Good to know. I am worried since I am in Canada. I would like to ask If the study permit is approved before the work permit expires, do you need to stop working or stop using the work permit until it expires? and which document checklist should I choose In Canada or Outside Canada since I am switching from PGWP to sp?

With your study permit, you cannot work until studies begin. So you work until WP expires.

What if your study permit approves before the WP expires so can I work until my WP expires or not? Example Sept 2025 intake the study permit approved June 10,2025 but your work permit expired on July 10,2025. Can they work June 10,2025 - July 10,2025 or not?

When does your program start and when does WP expire? You cannot work on your study permit until you begin your studies. So you may be approved but cannot work.

My intake was September 2025 , My WP expires July 5,2025. If my study permit approves on June 10,2025 can I work until my WP expires or not? since my PGWP is valid until July 5,2025. I will apply before my WP expires maybe end of April - May 2025. What if my study permit approve earlier. My work permit will be deactivated or not?

Your WP expires on July 5 so no you cannot work. You can start working on your study permit when you begin your studies in September. Just because it is approved early doesn’t mean you can work.

You CANNOT work. Having been on a study permit before and being on a PGWP makes no difference. You can stop working on July 5. Having an approved study permit doesn’t cancel your WP. Some people have a PGWP and study permit at the same time.

A PGWP is not tied to the study permit approval or vice versa. Your PGWP expires on July 5 so you can work until then. You cannot work on your study permit (even if approved) until classes begin and there are conditions on your permit that say you cannot work.

Do you already have PAL? Are you aware that you will not qualify for another PGWP.
