Hello All,
My journey to Canada has been quite challenging. It started with my company sponsoring me closed work permit for which we started our process back in Aug 2022. We went through medical exams, and me and my spouse were asked to give sputum tests after our Xrays. After 3 months, I was cleared, but my wife, since she was undergoing pregnancy, had a spot developed in her lungs, and even though she had negative culture, they asked for further tests, X-rays, CT scans, IGRA, which all came negative, finally, they asked for bronchoscopy, after which they cleared the medical exam, but it took 10 months, and she finally arrived in Canad.
We filed for PR under PNP, got nomination and submitted the application in July 2024. Got AOR on 11th Dec, BG check done, biometrics done, we were asked for repeat Xrays, my Xray got cleared, but for my wife, they have started the sputum tests again.
In the meantime, I have received a job offer from US from the same employer, and they are offering me an L1-A Visa.
My question is, should I go for the US opportunity, or stick to Canada to complete my PR? I do not know how long with the PR take, even though her medical was cleared, IRCC has started the process all over again, and we are afraid, if we do not get this opportunity, the opportunity will be lost.

This is your decision whether you want to live and work in the US or stay in Canada. You need to look at quality of life, salary, benefits for living in either country. No one can make that decision for you. PR will take a while if not through Express Entry.

If you applied under PNP, you must stay in Canada and the province that nominated you, otherwise your application will be cancelled as you won't be fulfilling the requirement that is living and settling in the province that nominated you. Like mentioned before, it is your decision to stay or move to the USA.
