Im in a deepest dilemma and I would like to know if someone had an experience about my situation. I’m in the middle of my PR application, passed medical, but had misunderstanding with my wife and she called the police and domestic assault was levelled against me. I was taking to the station and was released after 24, hours on some conditions. I have been told that The crown will probably withdraw the charges, I would like to know if this will prevent me from getting my PR approved. It’s just allegations and I haven’t been charged or convicted.

You should assume that IRCC will not make a decision in your application until the charges are dealt with. Hopefully you are working with an excellent criminal lawyer. You wantto make sure the charges are dropped.

Hey, I'm also in a similar situation, my charges were withdrawn and I have submitted court documents along with RCMP certificate to IRCC, however my RCMP report still listed the charges as outstanding, I wrote an LOE explaining in detail about RCMP records not being updated, thereafter I was asked to fill out Background Schedule A imm5669 form.

It's been close to a month since I uploaded the IMM 5669 form and there's no response from IRCC yet.

Did your RCMP results also showed that the charges are outstanding even after withdrawn?

Update: Background check is complete and I got P1 email as well
