Open Work Permit Iranian Policy, Waiting 4 months

I applied for open work permit in Canada (Iranian policy) with tourist visa (male 40 years old). It took about 4 month and passed the average waiting time but no answer. We contacted through webform but we didn't get clear response. two questions:

1- My visitor visa is 6 months, can I stay longer if I don't get the open work permit result?
2- As it is hard to stay with tourist visa as a family and not be able to work, is there any way to understand how long it can take? or trigger it in a way?

I know it usually takes much longer for men in this process, but I have seen many men for result within 3 months.

1. Extend stay as visitor.
2. No one can tell you how long it will take. Call IRCC or raise a webform.

Webform answer sounds like a template "we are processing". Is there any smart questions that I can ask and give me info .. do I have any case office? which step is it hanging?

You won't get that info from a web form response. You'll only get generic responses. If you want more info, try ordering GCMS notes.
